Donoroo 2008!

On Saturday, July 19, 2008 at The Pageant nightclub in St. Louis, "Donoroo 2008" was held. It was an event with a wonderfully diverse array of talented professional musicians. These musicians also have a heart because they donated their time and talents, traveling far from respective homes, to help us celebrate an afternoon and evening of music and fun. With gas prices so high, The Foundation felt the need to help them defray some of their costs, but by and large, these bands donated their time for free. Please check out the links on our homepage www.donoroo.org to learn the bands' names, hear some of their music and support them by attending their shows if ever in your area.

"Donoroo 2008" had the corporate support of the St. Louis Cardinals, who provided their publicity firm, Fleishman-Hillard (F-H), pro bono, to help The Foundation plan and publicize Donoroo. Donoroo was advertised in St. Louis music publications, on St. Louis radio and TV newcasts, and during the Cardinals-Padres baseball game the night before Donoroo(photos from the game). Jennifer Peters, of F-H, was with us every step of the way and we appreciated it greatly. Her summer intern, Greg Viverito, escorted Clare around town to various TV studios the day before Donoroo to be interviewed about the upcoming event.

And to the people who attended Donoroo 2008, friends and family of Gavin who traveled near and far, folks who just wanted to hear great music and support a great cause, THANK YOU. Hope you had A Great Time.
